The winner of the last Congress of Medical and Health Sciences has already started his training in Barcelona

Dr Alejandro Lopeló will be learning for three months in Spain about clinical laboratory specialties with the aim of returning later to Equatorial Guinea and implementing the acquired knowledge.

After winning a training scholarship for his exhibition at the V Congress of Medical and Health Sciences, the recently graduated in medicine from Equatorial Guinea, Alejandro Lopeló, is already in Barcelona for a three-month training stay at the University Hospital General of Catalonia.

Dr. Lopeló has expressed interest in hematology, microbiology, parasitology and blood bank management.

The goal is for this graduate in general medicine, eventually to be trained in a specialty, an option that does not exist in Equatorial Guinea for now, and then implement the knowledge of his learning upon his return to the African country.
