Summary first half 2016 activities

On January 9 Más que Salud held a charity concert organized at the Centre Artesà Tradicionarius located in the Gracia district of Barcelona. More than 200 people enjoyed the pace of gospel staged by Vocal Groove, formed by 10 voices and 4 musicians, accompanied by the African soloist Amos Obasohan. The public vibrated with the energy and quality of the show, while collaborating in improving health in Equatorial Guinea.

On January 22, within the annual convention of GAES, they delivered a check of 9,000 € to Más que Salud in order to finance the Proyecto Integral de Salud y Educación (PISE). Our project was chosen among many others from the selection of GAES Solidaria, which uses the Teaming system to obtain resources from their workers and be able to allocate those to various charity projects.

On February 20 the annual meeting took place. We also had the pleasure to have with us Arcel and Anastasia, which after the success of their treatment in Mallorca, returned to Barcelona to say goodbye and return to Equatorial Guinea. Arcel currently is in good health and able to attend to his end of the school year.

In March the first rotating internship fellows came to Barcelona for the training project that Más Que Salud is promoting. Since then seven doctors and nurses have come to increase their level of knowledge in the field of their particular discipline to capture it later practically in their country. The idea is that this project has continuity and keeps coming more beneficiaries in the immediate future.

In April it took place the Fourth Solidarity Dinner, which you can check all the details in the following link.

Finally, we want to share with you that Más que Salud has signed an agreement under the project Más que Palabras with SOS Children's Villages and Amplifon, and next September a group will travel to Equatorial Guinea to open a ORL unit. We will inform you in more detail shortly.
