More than 150 people attend the sixth Más que Salud Fundraising Gala

Más que Salud celebrated its sixth annual fundraising banquet at the Novotel Barcelona City with 160 people in attendance. The evening also included testimonies from professionals who served in the 2019 campaign in Equatorial Guinea. In addition to the annual auction, this year’s gala included a special dance and body percussion performance.

Robert Memba, Más que Salud president, welcomed guests and shared an update about existing projects and new developments. Guests had an opportunity to hear about the Más que una Semilla project when two people who collaborated on the Más que una Sonrisa dentistry project and Más que Palabras otorhinolaryngology (hearing) project shared about their experiences.

The dance and percussion performance by La Banda Street Groove was a new and very enjoyable addition to the evening.

The event concluded when raffle participants received one of the nearly 100 products and gifts donated by the Port Aventura Foundation, Barceló Viajes, and small businesses in Sant Cugat del Vallès, among others. For the first time, merchandise from artists like Dámaris Gelabert and Els Catarres were featured among the raffle gifts. The generosity of the attendees was especially evident when shirts and caps signed by Barcelona Football Club players, and a painting by Nataniel Moiane were auctioned. We raised an additional 800 euros for these items. All of the money raised will fund the various medical care and training projects Más que Salud is carrying out in Equatorial Guinea.
